well it's an awesome dyke night in silverlake every wednesday. here's an idea of what's going on:
Do you remember the good old days at the Parlor club? The red walls, bathrooms where you were sure to get groped, the smoky back area, and the best part of it all –stiff, sloshing martinis and scotch rocks, which worked wonders on the bra clasp or top trouser button of your object of desire. Well, the club may be closed for ever but you have another chance to enjoy the sleazy, stiff pouring, friendly, welcoming sailor-suit clad service of Los Angeles’ finest bartender Miss Kim.
The owners of the Gauntlet II are hiring their first-ever female bartender, to serve the adoring dykes and fags at Shotgun on Wednesdays. They’re ‘trying out’ Miss Kim this and next week, Wednesday December 14th and 21st.
We just think she is the best candidate for the job and hope you will too. Please come out over the next two weeks to get a drink from Kim and let the bar know that you support her and the hiring of a bartender with experience serving our community.
