So, I'm on the alternative side.. not your stereotypical "L word" LA lesbian... I'm overweight (but well proportioned) AND tattooed, pierced and love to play dress up.

I have a hard time meeting girls in general... for love or friendship.

I have resorted to craigslist... which is a crapshoot in general. I've gotten a lot of responses from Craigslist - but the girls seem to mis-represent themselves, OR they say they are cute and aren't...

It seems like all of these discussion lists are dead ends... Conversations are few and far between.

What is it about that? Is this an all over the place sort of issue? Or is it specific to LA?

I know that this seems to be a common problem - Gay/Straight/Bi... in most communities...

I'd love to hear everyone's experiences... what they have done what they are doing?
